 Flunixin (meglumine) 20 mg/ml.

Mechanism of Actions:

Oxytetracycline is a broad – spectrum antibiotic, highly effective against a large number of pathogenic organisms. Bacterial proteins.

Oxytetracycline binds reversibly to bacterial 30S ribosomes and inhibit protein synthesis, perhaps by several mechanisms. Mainly, the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the acceptor site on the mRNA- ribosome complex seems to be impaired. Flunixin through inhibition of cyclooxygenase, blocks synthesis of eicosanoids, including prostaglandins, thromboxane, and prostacyclin (PGI2), which are chemical mediators of inflammation. Of NSAID, Flunixin is considered to be the most potent cyclooxygenase inhibitor.

Indications:

This drug is active against wide range of Gram- positive and Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria, certain rickettsia. Oxytetracycline is indicated in the treatment and control of a wide range of common systemic respiratory, gastro- intestinal, urinary, local infections, Metritis, pyodermitis, anaplasmosis. Flunixin provides effective anti-inflammatory and analgesic action in a wide range of musculoskeletal disorder in horses, dogs and cattle.
