Drug Category: Minerals + Vitamin.

Pharmaceutical Form: Sterile Injectable Solution.

Composition: Butafosfan 100 mg/ml

                        Cyanocobalamin (Vit B12) 50 mg/ml.

Mechanism of Actions:

The phosphate ion is a component of body’s buffering and the form of its excretion in urine (i.e.as hydrogen phosphate or as dihydrogen phosphates) buffers the excretion of hydrions into ultra-filtrate. In the Cell, phosphate is of functional relevance to intermediary metabolism via phosphorylation, of structural significance as membrane phospholipids and is most important in energy transfer via the energy–rich phosphate bond. It also occurs in nucleic acids and nucleotides.

Pharmacokinetics:

The phosphorus in this compound stimulates all the metabolic processes that need energy and acts as an anabolic or constructive agent. Phosphorus also plays a vital role in the transfer and storage of energy, especially by ATP.

Vitamins are organic compounds that are essential for vital functions such as growth, health, reproduction, etc. Each vitamin has its own unique effects. The cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) has an effect on the metabolism of proteins and carbohydrates and plays a major role in the formation of red blood cells. Vitamin B12 deficiency causes anemia, impaired nervous system and bone marrow. Prescribing it prevents and cures anemia. The injectable solution of organic phosphorus + vitamin B12, with these two active substances, together increases energy and regulates deficiency due to deficiency of these two substances.

Indications:

Eclipse and muscle flare with calcium and magnesium, effective in treating milk fever disease in cattle, as a stimulant for stress, fatigue, labor and so on. Excessive fatigue elimination and accelerated recovery after illness. Strengthening muscle strength, especially in animals used for exercise. Helping to treat infertility and illnesses associated with childbirth. In adequate growth and nutrition of young animals due to lack of proper breeding. Metabolism failure caused by malnutrition, breeding or diseases. Improvement of growth, increased egg production, prevention of cannibalism or genital mutilation, and decreased period of vegetation.

Dosages and Administration Routs:

This drug should be administered by intravenous, intramuscular and subcutaneous. In poultry, it is recommended to mix in drinking water orally.

Cattle and horses: 10-25 ml.
Calf and Foal: 5-12 ml.
Sheep and goat: 2.5-5 ml.
Goat and Kid: 1.5-2.5 ml.
Dogs and cats: 0.5-5 ml.
Poultry: 0.3-0.5 ml per liter of oral drinking water is given for 3 to 5 days, or in the opinion of the vet, 1 ml per bird is injected.
In case of disease prevention (healthy animals), half the recommended dose is sufficient.

Contra Indication:

No specific cases have been reported unless susceptible to any of the products in this drug.

Withdrawal Period: Nil.
